Eugenia Cusí explained that it is difficult to feel optimistic about the conditions established for the reopening of the restoration sector by the competent authorities and that the uncertainty is huge. She also called for tests to be carried out on all the company’s employees: “What we need is to have health safety measures in place. We want to test so that our international markets see that this destination is safe. To open at 30% or 50% is to lose and we have already lost a lot”.
In spite of the complications, the company is already studying alternatives in their different restaurants to be able to adapt to the current situation. “We are reviewing our charters to be flexible with individualized portions, we are trying to secure funding and to be able to pay suppliers.
On the subject of the ICO credits, he regretted the lack of speed: “We have been granted different sources of financing and nothing has been paid to us yet and it has been more than 20 days. Here nobody should take advantage of the situation and financial institutions should be at the side of society because in the crisis we helped them”.
Tast hopes to be able to continue offering a service at the level of its clients when it slowly returns to normal: “We are looking to profit the few terraces we have. Our openings will seek innovation and it is a challenge to maintain the level of restoration. Now we have to be even more flexible, we have to reinvent ourselves”.
